Ocean acidification - what is it?

Not sure on what ocean acidification is? Is it happening in New Zealand? How are New Zealand scientists studying it?

The answers to these questions can be found in a video NIWA has just released. It outlines the issue of ocean and coastal acidification in New Zealand, and the work we are doing in the CARIM project and features CARIM leader Cliff Law, along with Amadine Sabadel.

β€œThe on-going rise of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere is not only changing our climate – it is also changing our oceans.
Take a look at the work of the NIWA-led CARIM project into what these changes may mean for the delicate balance of marine life.”
