Coastal acidification threatens marine species

"We've been really collaborative". CARIM scientist Dr Chris Hepburn from the University of Otago talks about the history of ocean acidification research in New Zealand and what CARIM is doing and the new review article in an interview with Kathryn Ryan on RNZ.

This collaborative approach is one of the standout features of our NZ ocean acidification research community. As a research community we are very inclusive and work well together. This is one of the strengths of the collaborative CARIM project and you'll detect this reading the profiles on our Team page.

"Many things are changing at once (in the oceans) and that's the problem" says Chris. "It's complex, particularly in a coastal situation. It's clear that coastal acidification has major impacts on marine life".
